Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what North Forge Media LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use this site (the "Service"), why, and what your choices are. We keep it short on purpose.
1. What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your Twitch user ID, login, display name, avatar and (if Twitch shares it) email address | To sign you in, show who you are, and send you account and billing emails. |
| The VOD links you submit, the clips we make, their titles, captions, transcripts and settings | That's the Service. Clips you publish are visible to everyone. |
| Posting accounts you choose to connect (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram): the account's id, name and handle, the Facebook Page an Instagram account is linked to, and the login tokens the platform gives us, stored encrypted | To upload the clips and episodes you choose to post, with the title and caption you wrote, when you click Post (now, or at the time you scheduled). We never read, change or delete your other videos, never post anything you didn't choose, and the tokens are deleted the moment you disconnect the account. |
| Your plan, Stripe customer ID and subscription status | To know what you're entitled to. Stripe holds your card details; we never see them. |
| Free trial and referral checks: a one-way hash of your network address, when your Twitch account was created, and (only if you confirm a trial with a card) a one-way hash of Stripe's code for that card | To give each person one free trial and to stop self-referrals. We keep these hashes, not your IP address or any card details. |
| Your feedback on clips: thumbs up or down and the reasons you tick, and what you do with clips (post, download, publish, keep or skip, trim, rename, delete), together with the clip's channel, game and the score our AI judge (Director) gave it, where in the stream the clip was and how long it ran, and what a trim or a rename changed (for example "shorter" or "starts later", never the new title itself) | To improve how clips are picked. Your own feedback tunes the picks for your account only: it is never shown to, or used for, another creator. To improve the Service for everyone we only look at totals across creators (counts and percentages, never your clips, titles or transcripts). On the public streams we use to test our AI judge, that includes a moment's ratings combined from two or more creators, with no account attached. |
| IP address, browser, pages visited, request logs, and a hashed IP for votes | To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse (rate limits, one vote per person), and fix bugs. |
| Takedown notices you send us (name, email, address, the clip, your statement) | To process the notice. We may forward it to the user who made the clip. |
| Managed plan enquiries ("Talk to us"): your name, email, channels and what you need | To reply and set up the plan with you. Sent to our team's private chat channel so we can answer quickly. |
| On the Managed plan: our editors' notes on your clips and your change requests | To review and polish your clips. Our editors can open only the clips waiting for their review. |
2. Cookies
We use one essential cookie (sid) to keep you logged in, and a short-lived one during Twitch login.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage remembers things like your last-used
clip format; that never leaves your device.
3. Who we share data with
- Stripe for payments (their policy).
- Twitch for login. We only receive your public profile and email.
- Anthropic: short excerpts of stream chat and clip transcripts are sent to Claude to write titles and post text. No account details are included.
- YouTube (Google), TikTok and Instagram (Meta), only when you connect an account and post: we send that one clip or episode and the text you wrote to the platform you picked. Their terms and privacy policies apply to what happens there.
- Hosting and storage providers (Railway for our servers; Cloudflare for our domain, email forwarding and file storage) who store our servers, database and clip files.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, and rights holders as described in our DMCA policy.
We don't sell your data.
4. YouTube and Google user data
Stream Studio uses YouTube API Services to publish the videos you choose to post to your YouTube channel. By connecting a YouTube account you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to the data Google holds about you.
What we access and keep: the authorization tokens Google gives us (encrypted, kept only while the account stays connected), the name and id of the channel you connected (refreshed or deleted within 30 days), and the record of each upload you made through us. We use them only to upload the videos you choose to post, with the title, description, privacy setting and thumbnail you picked. We don't read or change your other videos, don't use your Google data for advertising, don't sell it, and don't use it to train AI models.
You can revoke our access at any time from the Google security settings page or with Disconnect on your Connected accounts page; both delete the stored tokens.
Stream Studio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
TikTok and Instagram connections work the same way: encrypted tokens, used only to post what you choose, deleted when you disconnect. If you remove Stream Studio in your Facebook settings and send a data deletion request, Facebook tells us and we delete your Instagram connection automatically; you get a confirmation code and a status page.
5. How long we keep it
- Clips are deleted automatically after the retention period of your plan (7 to 180 days), or earlier if you delete them.
- Your account and VOD history are kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we'll remove it within 30 days (billing records are kept as long as tax law requires).
- Request logs are kept for up to 30 days.
- Clip feedback and usage signals are kept for up to 12 months. Deleting a VOD deletes the feedback on its clips; deleting your account deletes all of it. Ratings combined from two or more creators (above) are not linked to any account and are deleted within 12 months too.
- Managed plan enquiries are kept for up to 12 months, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Connected posting accounts: the tokens are deleted the moment you disconnect the account, when you remove Stream Studio on the platform (Facebook tells us automatically), or when your account is deleted. Posts still waiting to go out are cancelled.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@streamstudio.dev from the address on your account. If you're in the EEA or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Deleting your data. Disconnect a posting account on your Connected accounts page (its tokens are deleted immediately), delete a VOD to delete its clips, or email us from the address on your account to delete your whole account. Step by step: How to delete your data.
7. Children
The Service is not for children under 13 (16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we'll delete it.
8. International transfers
Our servers are in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere your data is transferred there and protected as described in this policy.
9. Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
